Bundeswehr University Munich
The Bundeswehr University Munich (UniBwM) is a training facility for officer candidates and officers.
The Institute for Jet Propulsion (ISA) of the Bundeswehr University Munich currently employs 14 members of staff and has many years of research experience in the field of turbomachinery aerodynamics. In research projects sponsored nationally or by the EU, the institute carries out both numeric and experimental research in turbine and compressor blading. Its work focuses on three-dimensional and transient flow effects, transient compressor behaviour and heat transfer at blades. Along with extensive testing facilities (cascade tunnel, axial compressor and test engine), powerful numeric tools are available for these research activities. In collaboration with DLR Cologne, the TRACE flow solver is also used.
